Salsa

The term derives from the Spanish sauce, and indicates a spice or spicy. Usually, the sauce includes a lot of Afro-Latin rhythms, which recognizes the presence of musical Clave (two wooden sticks that are hit together). Salsa today is the result of years of evolution rhythms, influenced by the changing economic, social and political. La Salsa is the national dance of Puerto Rico. Many of the Salsa dance patterns are closely related to some of the Mambo.
